Programming your HT-488 ATA
Please disconnect all connections for HT486/HT496/HT488 and follow the instructions below:
- Connect the Regular Analog Touch tone phone to the HT.
- Connect Power Supply.
- Now, connect the Ethernet cable between your firewall and the WAN port on the HT.
- Now, connect another Ethernet cable between your PC and the LAN port on the HT
- Wait for 30 seconds till your PC gets an IP ADDRESS (ie: 192.168.2.2)
- Now, open Internet Explorer and type in 192.168.2.1, you should see Grandstream Login Screen pop up.
- Enter 'admin' as the password
- Go to Advanced Settings page and switch "Enable WAN port HTTP access" to YES, hit 'Update' and then 'Reboot'.
- Now, disconnect your PC from the LAN port and connect it to any other port on your Router
- Now type in the actual IP ADDRESS of the HT (You can look this up by pressing *** on the phone
Now configure the ATA settings for your VOIP server:
- On the basic settings tab, you only need to set the timezone and daylight savings section
- On the FXS Port Tab, set the following (leave the rest default)
| SIP Server: | DNS Name of your VOIP Server |
| Outbound Proxy: | leave blank |
| SIP User ID: | Your extension (ie: 201) |
| Authenticate ID: | Your extension (ie: 201) |
| Authenticate Password: | SIP password given to you by your VOIP adminsitrator |
| Name: | Your Name |
| Send DTMF: | Check box for via RTP (RFC2833) |
- On the FXO Port Tab, set the following (leave the rest default)
| SIP Server: | DNS Name of your VOIP Server |
| Outbound Proxy: | leave blank |
| SIP User ID: | your telco number - just numbers (ie:4083744655) |
| Authenticate ID: | your telco number - just numbers (ie:4083744655) |
| Authenticate Password: | SIP pasword given to you by the VOIP adminsitrator |
| Name: | Your name |
- Once all changes are made, click on the "Update" button on the Configuration page.
- Press the reboot button for the changes to take place.
- DO NOT INTERUPT THE BOOTING UP PROCESS, OR THE DEVICE COULD BE DAMAGED.
